Through their diverse expertise and experience, our board members provide valuable insights and oversight on critical matters such as financial performance, risk management, and corporate responsibility. Moreover, they appoint executive leadership, set performance goals, and evaluate their execution, thereby fostering a culture of transparency and accountability within SP Funds. Our Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of SP Funds, ensuring its resilience, and maximizing its potential for sustained success.

Irfan Chaudhry CFA, CAIA, MBA

Irfan acts as the Chairman and President of board of the SP Trust. He has a strong professional background in investment management, strategy, capital markets, alternative assets, fund structuring, macro and micro investment research, quantitative research, compliance, risk management and instutional asset allocation. He has been rating among world’s top economists by the “Wall Street Economist Institute”. He has been widely published on investment, and macroeconomic topical as well as contemporary issues. He has previously worked as director investments, portfolio manager, hedge fund manager, investment strategist and research. He had also been involved as a visiting faculty of finance with University of Regina in Canada.  He has earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and MBA from the University of Windsor and is a CFA and CAIA charter holder.  

Irfan has interests in theoretical physics, and spirituality and literature.  

Abdullah Zeini

Abdullah Zeini acts as head of governance committee. Abdullah Zeini is a Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Chief Critical Infrastructure counsel for Parsons Corporation, a NYSE listed public company (ticker symbol: PSN). Abdullah has been practicing law for over two decades, with a particular focus on corporate, construction, and real estate law. Prior to working at Parsons Corporation, Abdullah was the construction legal advisor for the State of Qatar’s real estate sovereign wealth fund and was engaged in the establishment of various high-profile strategic alliances and infrastructure projects around the world for the State of Qatar. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2009, Abdullah was the Managing Partner of The Zeini Law Firm, P.A., a general civil practice law firm in Orlando, Florida.  Abdullah remains the majority shareholder of the firm. Abdullah is an alumnus of the University of Florida (B.S. in Construction Management, College of Architecture) and the University of Alabama (Juris Doctorate). He holds active law licenses in Washington D.C. and Florida. 

Serkan Altay, CFA

Serkan Altay acts as the head of Audit committee and member of governance committe. Serkan Altay has more than 15 years of experience in investment management. He has overseen the portfolio management and investment research for SICO Investment management in Bahrain, Emirates National Bank of Dubai, Fidelity, the Victoria Foundation and Rally Assets. He has broad and deep experience in investment research, portfolio management and asset allocation. He completed his undergraduate degree in commerce from Concordia University and is a CFA Charter Holder.  

Dr. Sayed Kirmani

Dr. Sayed Shabbir Kirmani is the member of governance committee. He is a Poet, Researcher and Lecturer in the American Muslim Community.An engineer by training, Dr. Kirmani has a diverse professional background working with Fortune 500 Firms, in sectors as diverse as Pharmaceuticals, Government and Consulting. As a Lecturer, he has traveled throughout North America, Europe and Australia to lecture for the past 14 years. He has been an active speaker in multiple conferences & seminars in the US, Canada, UK, India, and Australia on topics as diverse as Islam & Economics, Modernity, and Development. He was co-founder of the Ahlul-Bayt Society at UCF, and served as President and Vice President of the Society. Born and raised in Maryland by the US Capital, Sayed is passionate about Islam in America, particularly the present & future of the American Muslim community and works to bridge the gap between Modernity & Religion. 

He completed his Bachelors Degree in Economics, Mathematics & Computer Science in 2012, his Master’s in Engineering in 2015, and his PhD in Industrial Engineering in 2021 from UCF. Sayed enjoys good books, thought-provoking discussions, volunteering, and traveling. Dr. Kirmani currently serves as the Resident Scholar at Masjid Al-Hayy in Orlando, FL. 

Masuma Virji

Masuma is the member of governance committee. She has spent over three decades in the field of Educational Management, specializing in  curriculum Development and Administration. She has served on several public and private School Boards and Parent Advisory Committees, as President, Secretary and Member and also served as Islamic School Principal and Teacher. She considers herself a lifelong learner of the Holy Quran, pursuing studies in Hifdh and Quranic Linguistics. Masuma also co-founded a non-profit, United Muslim Foundation, and served for over a decade as Board Chairperson and Executive Director. In  addition, she served on the Council of American Islamic Relations as Executive Committee Board member and Shura Board member. Masuma has worked in coalition with several notable organizations, including the US Department of State, Muslim Public Affairs Council and Islamic Society of North America. Masuma specializes in networking, marketing, volunteer management and hosting exclusive events. Masuma has been featured in several print, radio, tv and social media interviews locally and internationally and has also been invited to speak at universities, mosques, churches and various events.Masuma is the recipient of Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Excellence in Service Award, Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Helping Hand Community Service Recognition Award, Emerge USA (Emgage) Community Service Award, American Muslims for Emergency and Relief (AMER) Outstanding Volunteer and Contribution award, Muslim Women of Orlando Genuinely Empowered Muslim Sisters (MWO GEMS) award, and earnedspecial recognitions from United Muslim Foundation (UMF), Discover Islam, Muslims for Service, Muslim Women Empowerment Network (MWEN) and Kids Peace. She is a member of Darul Quran al Ja’fari team, Online for the last thirty years. She acted as a Substitute Hifdh Teacher, Fawakih Arabic, Masjid Al Hayy, Sanford, Madrasah Az-Zahraa, Richmond, BC, a Qur’an Teacher for Az-Zahraa Islamic Academy, Richmond, BC, a Board Member for Eric Hamber Secondary, Vancouver, BC, a Parent Advisory Committee Member for Bayyinah Access, Texas Online, and a Study Group Leader/Facilitator for Masjid Al Rahman, Orlando, FL. She earned her undergraduate degree in secondary education from the University of Central Florida 

GLENN M. VITALE, CPA, CSEP

Glenn is the CFO of the SP Trust and is a member of board. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning by profession. He is sole principal & shareholder of Glenn M. Vitale, CPA, P.A., which was established in Altamonte Springs, FL in 1999. Glenn Vitale’s practice provides services in financial consulting, business, personal & fiduciary taxation and planning, along with corporate & individual taxation & planning. The firm also offers trustee and trust administration services along with asset protection and estate planning. Mr. Vitale attended Florida Atlantic University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Accounting. He completed the required curriculum to earn the designation “Certified Specialist in Estate Planning” and completed the required curriculum for the Master Analyst in Financial Forensics and Certified Valuation Analyst. Glenn Vitale has over 15 years experience in corporate accounting & financial management, two years experience in financial services related sales and over 30 years’ experience in public accounting. His corporate background included managerial positions held with both publicly held companies and closely-held businesses with market concentrations in real estate construction & development. Glenn Vitale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Alliance of Trust & Estate Professionals. Mr. Vitale also served as Treasurer and Board Member of the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando, Inc. and the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando Foundation, Inc.   

Ustadh Aarij Anwar

Sh Aarij Anwer is an imam and educator based out of London, ON. He has completed bachelor degrees in Computer Science (Waterloo), Education (Toronto) and Fiqh (Al-Madinah International University). He’s delivered over 100 workshops on Zakat education, serves as a Zakat advisor to numerous organizations and has authored articles on the topic. 

Deborah Bielicke Eades, CFA

Deborah Bielicke Eades serves as counsel to SP Funds Trust. Deborah has been a shareholder in the Investment Services Group of Vedder Price P.C. since 1999.  Prior to joining Vedder Price P.C., Ms. Eades served as in house counsel at Janus Capital (now known as Janus Henderson). Ms. Eades has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry representing closed-end funds, open-end funds and asset management firms with a particular focus on complex fund and adviser transactions, product development and design, and regulatory and compliance matters. Ms. Eades is a CFA and has earned the Certificate in ESG Investing.

Ally Mueller

Ally joined Tidal Financial Group in 2018 and has served in various roles throughout her tenure.  She now serves as Vice President of Client Success and heads up ETF Launches for the company.  Prior to joining Tidal she spent time at US Bancorp Global Fund Services in the Alternative Investments division.  Her career also began at US Bancorp in Mutual Fund Administration.  During an interim period she spent nearly a decade at M&I Marshall & Isley Bank (now BMO Bank) in the Commercial Banking division as an Assistant Vice President of Commercial Banking.  Mrs. Mueller serves as Vice President on several ETF focused regulated investment company trusts. She received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Aaron Perkovich

Aaron joined Tidal Financial Group as Senior Vice President of Fund Administration in September 2022. Prior to joining Tidal he spent a year at Mason Street Advisors (wholly-owned subsidiary of Northwestern Mutual Life) as Assistant Director – Product Manager for launching their proprietary multi-sub advised mutual fund brand. Prior to that he spent 15 years at US Bank Global Fund Services as a Fund Administration manager, seven years as a portfolio analysist in the investment consulting group at Robert Baird and three years at the Bank of New York as a settlement specialist. Mr. Perkovich serves as Principal Financial Officer/Treasurer on several ETF focused regulated investment company trusts. He received a master’s degree in business administration from Marquette University and a Batchelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
